Winnipeg has a great number restaurants to suit a variety of tastes and palates. But these choices narrow when dining with kids. But even among the family-friendly restaurants there are some that want to make sure parents and kids can have fun at dinner. Here are our top picks for places kids can eat FREE in Winnipeg.
Perkins has long had its Kids Eat FREE promo but what makes this one of the best is that kids can eat free* TWO (2) nights of the week—Monday and Tuesday, from 3 pm to 10pm. These kids eat free nights are lifesavers for me when the kids have swimming or skating and I’m just too tired to cook after or planned poorly for the beginning of the week (please tell me this happens to you too). My girlfriend and I use it a reason to get together during the week with the kids and enjoy each other’s company complete with dinner and no washing dishes! #Winning
There are some great choices for kids. Steamed veggies are an option as a side, and milk is available as a beverage choice. Kids also receive cookies as dessert and we save those for lunch kits the next day.

My middle child loves big hats and tables you can draw on. So when we asked where he wanted to go for dinner one dreary day, he answered Montana’s. We hadn’t been for a while but it was a pleasant surprise to learn that kids eat FREE on Tuesdays when an adult entrée is purchased. They have a great menu to choose from, including healthy steamed vegetables. BONUS: On your birthday, you get to wear the giant moose hat while wonderful Montana’s staff sing ‘Happy birthday’ to you. Fun times, my friends.
